[Shopify] Maple Pickup Point Selector

Context

Maple is a Shopify App, also working with Shop Pay, that offers a premium pickup point experience to buyers. This module can be used by Bigblue and non-Bigblue merchants (from $150/month for Shopify Plus users or from $50/month for non-Plus users, with a 7-day free trial).

1. Maple Pickup Point Selector on Shopify

First, you need to download the app on your Shopify (here)

2. Google Maps

Shopify forces merchants to use Google Maps for any component in the Shopify checkout using a map. Therefore, it requires to open a Google Maps account and to add your credit card details.

While this will be free for 95% of merchants, if you go above Google Maps' free threshold, some charges may incur. You can find the Google Maps pricing details (here), in short:

• $200 free credits per month (28.500 map loads → around 10-15k pickup points orders).
• Around 1.5 cents per order above the $200 threshold.

To do so, you must create two API keys and whitelist some domains, as explained here.

3. Shopify UI Extension

Then, you need to integrate this module to your Thank You and Order Status pages, and to your Checkout (Shopify Plus only). You can use this guide. If you can’t edit the Thank You page and/or the Order Status page, please contact Shopify and ask them to activate it for your account.

4. Shipping method mapping & Subscription cancellation

Finally, as a Bigblue merchant, you can just enable the Bigblue sync on the Settings page of the module on Shopify:

• The module with sync with the Bigblue app and use the shipping method ↔ transport offer mapping from the Bigblue app. The map will be displayed for all shipping method mapped to a pickup point carrier.
