[Shopify Apr 25] Troubleshooting pickup point selection not appearing

Several Shopify merchants noticed in April 2025 that pickup point options are no longer showing up at checkout.

In this article, we’ll explain what’s happening, who’s affected, and what you can do to resolve the issue.

This guide is specific to Non-Plus Shopify brands.


🛍️ Step 1: Make a test order to check your checkout


Before taking any action, make a test order on your Shopify store using a pickup point delivery method. Check whether the pickup point selection appears after the checkout.


Option A – The pickup point selector appears

Great! That means you're either:

  • Already using Maple, our new Pickup Point Selector app, or
  • Still using our previous app, which is temporarily still functioning

⚠️ Important: If you're still using the old app, you’ll need to switch to Maple by August 2025 due to changes in Shopify's checkout structure.


🔍 How to identify which app version you’re using

Look at the logo displayed on the bottom left of the map:

  • Apple logo at the bottom-left corner = You’re using the previous version
  • Google logo = You’re using Maple, the new version

If you're using the old version, plan your transition to Maple before August 2025, when the old Shopify checkout will be deprecated.

Option B – The pickup point selector does not appear

If no pickup point options are visible, you need to:

  1. Update your Thank You and Order Status Pages, as required by Shopify
  2. Transition to Maple, our new Pickup Point Selector

  1. Upgrade your Thank You and Order Status Pages

For non–Shopify Plus brands, follow Shopify’s official guide.


  1. Install the Maple Pickup Point Selector

Follow our step-by-step guide here.


Once both steps are complete, make another test order to confirm that the pickup point selector now appears.
