What is Amazon FBA?

Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) is a service offered by Amazon that allows sellers to store their products in Amazon's fulfillment centers. Once enrolled in the program, Amazon takes care of storage, packaging, shipping, customer service, and returns for those products.

A key interest of Amazon FBA is the Prime program eligibility.

Amazon FBA preparation requirements

Shipping products to Amazon must follow a strict product preparation and packing process. Notably, each box must have a unique label holding information for reception:

  1. The FBA reception ID
  2. The Amazon warehouse destination address
  3. The package content (SKU + product name)
  4. If applying the lot and expiry date.

These labels are generated by Amazon once the exact packing list is defined on the shipment.
