Set up the auto-fulfillment

Once your shop is connected, you can set up rules to automatically fulfill your orders! Dive in this guide to properly set up the auto-fulfillment in Bigblue.

1. What is auto-fulfillment?

The auto-fulfillment of an order is the fulfillment of this order by Bigblue without any manual action, according to a set of rules that you define. These rules include an auto-fulfill delay, an outbound warehouse and a transportation offer, based on your e-shop's shipping methods.

2. Access the auto-fulfillment settings

  •  Click on Settings
  • Select Auto-fulfillment

3. Choose your auto-fulfill delay

The Auto-fulfill delay is the buffer time between the order creation on the Bigblue app and the fulfillment creation. Enter the value in minutes.

💡 Why is it useful? Because it's the time during which you can still edit, cancel, or delete an order

In the section Fulfill from, choose the date from which Bigblue should start fulfilling your orders. Orders created before this date won't be auto-fulfilled. (Check out our article about manual fulfillment.)

💡 Why is it useful? It can be because your old orders were fulfilled by a previous logistician.

4. Select a warehouse

Choose the warehouse you wish your products to be shipped from the Warehouse drop-down menu.


5. Map your shipping methods with our transportation offers

The following process should be followed for all the shipping methods that can be displayed to your customers at checkout, otherwise the auto-fulfillment won't work.

First, select the shipping method that you want to map.

For Shopify, Prestashop or WooCommerce, the shipping methods of your e-shop appear in the dropdown menu below Shop Shipping method.

For other integrations, kindly add your shipping methods manually by typing the name of the shipping method in the search bar below Shop Shipping method and clicking on Add. Be careful to keep the spelling and syntax strictly identical to the one in your e-shop.

My e-shop's shipping method doesn't appear, why?

If you add a new shipping method to your e-shop, it can take up to one hour to appear on Bigblue. To force the sync, go to Shop Integrations , access your shop, find the Shipping Methods list and click on the button with the two arrows. Your e-shop's shipping methods should appear below.

Secondly, select the transportation offers to apply for each shipping zone.

For each shipping method, choose the transportation offer(s) to use for each shipping zone.

💡 You can map more than one transportation offer for each shipping zone. Bigblue will follow the order in which offers are listed until one of them meets the requirements to fulfill your order.

Thirdly, save your changes by clicking on Save.

Kindly remember that every time you create a new shipping method or update the name of an existing shipping method in your e-shop, you need to go through the process explained in the previous section again.

6. Check your fulfillment settings

Last step: in Shop integrations, ensure that the Auto-fulfill orders toggle is blue.

Once everything is properly set up, for each auto-fulfilled order, in the order page, you shall see a properly checked Auto-fulfilled by Bigblue mention in the Shipping method card, under your e-shop's shipping method name.
