Hold fulfillments

Prevent orders from being prepared right after their creation by learning how to hold fulfillments

When can I hold a fulfillment?

You can only hold a fulfillment that has not been transmitted to any warehouse yet.

  • If you manually create a fulfillment, it gets transmitted to the warehouse immediately
  • If a fulfillment is automatically created (because auto-fulfillment is activated), it gets transmitted to the warehouse after your chosen auto-fulfill delay (more details here)

Hold a fulfillment

  • Go to the Order's page and find the Fulfillment section
  • Cclick on Manage > Edit
  • In the modal, select Hold fulfillment
  • Save your changes

Your fulfillment is now held until you decide to Reschedule fulfillment 🤩

Please note that if the Fulfillment Date is later than the current date, you will get an error message and the fulfillment will not be held. In this case, you have to cancel the fulfillment, then create a new one and hold it.
